Yoga and Wellness Teacher Training
Our 90- Hour Teacher Training prepares you to teach public prenatal and postnatal yoga classes and to support a pregnant person when they arrive to your public drop-in classes. This course is also extremely useful for pregnant people, doulas, midwives, and labor & delivery nurses.

Policies and Certification
Level 1
First 45 hours of the full 90-Hr training – Modules I & II
Level 2
Second 45 hours of the full 90-Hr training — Modules III & IV
For Birthing Mama certification and registration with Yoga Alliance, one must complete both Level 1 and Level 2. To teach public group classes, one must also have a 200Hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification in any tradition. To bring these practices into your private practice with doula, midwifery or nursing clients you do not need an additional 200hr yoga teacher training although it is recommended to go deeper into your yogic studies (which you can do with our Embodyoga 100hr In-Depth Study and 200hr Teacher Training.
Requirements for Certification
For live training: attend all training weekends of both Level 1 and Level 2 – make arrangements with lead teacher if you need to miss any class time
For on-demand: watch all videos carefully and absorb material before moving on
Observe and write a reflection of 4 in person or livestream classes AND Attend and write a reflection for 4 in person or livestream classes (total of 8 classes, comprised of 6 prenatal and 2 postnatal/parent and baby classes or can be configured based on what aspect you are most drawn to based on the list of optional classes to helpful the extra classes requirement)
Design and practice teach 2 different 1 – 1.5 hr classes to one or more pregnant people (or they can pretend to be pregnant) and turn in your written class plan with reflections and observations about how the classes went. Complete Reading Assignments and other Homework/Reflections that are given for each weekend
To teach public prenatal yoga classes, you must also have a 200-Hr Certification of any tradition
